Here's a forum of my spawn I did to see what the outcome would be. I use breeding to research genetics.
I took a female, from a friend of mine halfway across my country (photo creds to her <3), and a male from a local fish store. The female was a grey/blue marble hmpk half dumbo and the male was a large average veiltail. His name was Tilikum.
I put Tilikum on the other side of a divider in my sorority tank. He decided the new girl was super gorgeous and wanted to get serious with her, so he built her a nest to prove himself.
So I tossed them in with each other (female in a jar for a couple days). They flirted and such and he built a nest. I released her and they spawned while I was on a hiking trip for the day.
Rest in comments because there's a picture limit. Pfft. You can't have this story without pictures if they're available.
