Here is a conversation he had with a member he recently booted from The Betta Chat for not buying his fish. The reason being they never received the pictures they requested. As it turns out, when Randy posted the fish for sale, he had not received it yet, and therefore couldn't get a picture. |

I think you are reaching on this one. From what I just read it wasn't because he didn't buy the fish but had negotiated a lower price which made Randy take down from being up for sell. He shouldn't even have attempted to make a deal if seeing the picture or not was a deal breaker. Just looks like a lot of miscommunicating and not being clear about intent to not buy the fish and basically wasted Randy's time.

The person never said they were no longer buying the fish. They said they are still waiting on the pictures. Randy can't supply the pictures, or sell the fish, because Randy doesn't even have this fish yet. How can you sell a fish you don't have???

Craig, here is the whole thing - he got the two dumbos, one was for free. He paid $15.
He owes hundreds of dollars to breeders currently.
He is trying to sell the dumbos for $25 each.
He does not physically have the dumbos, they are at Linda Olsen's right now.
The buyer really wanted the dumbo, was willing to pay the $25 for it, all she wanted to know was whether he physically had the fish, as she did not want to have it shipped straight to her after it was shipped to him.
If he told her the truth, she would of gladly waited a week or two until it was less stress on the fish and bought it at full price.
She asked him if he physically had it, he said yes. She asked for a picture, as for that price she wants to see the fish. He told her he was working 90 hours a week and would not take a picture for her, even though he was taking picture of his other fish at the same time.
She just didn't want the fish to die, he forced her to agree to a no DOA agreement if she bought the fish.
He told her he would not ship the fish until the 10th. He gets the fish on the 8th. Told her the fish needed to grow up more and be stronger, which is a lie.
Then he goes and tells her that he already sold the fish, which means he sold the fish before he got confirmation whether or not she was going to get the fish. Why can't someone buy a fish from him and another person? She never said no, and since she had until the 10th, she was in the right. He lied. Over and over again.

He claims to of bred before, but he never has as he has contacted multiple breeders asking how to breed. He told the buyer he has shipped many times and is really good at it, but in fact he only shipped once and he had to have step by step instructions given to him on how to do so.
There is much more to this, this isn't over reaching, this is someone trying to sell goods that he does not have and can not guarantee all because he can't stop buying fish and being in debt with the breeders.

Funny. He claimed the fish would be ready to ship on June 10th..... I'm assuming that's the day he assumed he would receive it. Why does he feel the need to lie about it?  ? |

No, from what I have seen while spying in his group was that the shipment he was supposed to get on the 8th. But still, she had until that time to confirm with him, yet he yells at her for her waiting on a picture still and for her buying another fish from someone else. Like she said, why can't she buy from him and another? In fact, that other fish was a gift to her from a friend to help her with personal matters, so there was absolutely no reason for him to go off on her, and does it really matter when he said he sold it already, while he still had the potential customer as she never said no, was just wanting him to hold up his word to take a picture.
Not a great way to start a business.
And don't forget! He kicked out Meredith because the potential buyer thanked her in the link of the fish she got for free, so he assumed Meredith sold it to her or helped her find it, calling her a rat for "stealing" his customer when she did no such thing. All she did was comfort someone as a friend. She in fact had nothing to do with that fish at all. He's looking for a scapegoat for his own lies.

I might also add that Randy thinks he is God and everyone must worship him. All admins in his group refused to speak to him about this matter because "it's Randy's group, so he makes all the decisions." He also post constantly about how wonderful he is and how successful his fish are, they are going to be the next big winners, etc when in reality he has done nothing -- hasn't bred anything, hasn't sold anything, and hasn't shown anything. From what I have seen, all he can do well is spend ridiculous amounts of money feeding his addiction to buying more bettas than he knows what to do with.

Sweet Daddy Tea, I was just going off your first post and that's how it appeared to me since I hadn't heard nor seen any of the other stuff you posted afterwards. Ya got to remember not all of us are privy to what's gone on before we were around.

It's okay Craig, Randy is good at hiding things. His members are not happy with him, they stay there for each other, but so far they have shared screen shots and all of that with each other and with the people he kicked. Every thing he has said and claimed and when he talked about people have been spread around amongst the people he calls friends there. His "friends" there have made comments (I have seen the screen shots) saying they wish the group didn't belong to him, they wished it belonged to Meredith as she at least did things and helped rather than show off pictures of fish that he can't afford.
He is lying to his girlfriend as well, he keeps telling her all of these fish are free or were traded when they weren't. He said he would not be doing an unboxing video due to he doesn't want his girlfriend to know how many fish he has. He used to tell people he kept fish at his girlfriend's house, but apparently that is not true as before he starting buying fish he only had the one. Said he had many. And the one he has that he now says he bought, used to tell people it was from one of his spawns. Just another lie he told, guess he forgot the first lie about having raised the fish from one of his spawns lol. Wonder what his girlfriend would say knowing he owes hundreds and hundreds, and has already spent hundreds on these fish? He was supposed to get a bigger place with her this summer, but he can't afford to buy himself dinner (in his own words), how is he going to afford a bigger place in NYC? Just more lies. He can't stop himself and it's sad. No one is thinking he is all that, is great or is anything special because he spends money he doesn't have on pretty fish that he is going to end up killing because he's too focused on collecting and not getting what is needed to care for them properly. No one thinks he's special, it's not about how pretty your fish are or how many you have that makes people like you, it's people who are honest, fun and kind that matter. Kicking people out of groups because one did not buy a fish due to being lied to, or because one has no trouble speaking technical when people are looking for right answers is not what people want or like. He's made girls cry, literally. He's lied. He thinks he is all that, he thinks people will buy his fish because they are from him. No, you can have the best fish in the world but if you lie to your customers, you won't have any. And I'll yell from the rooftop to say he is one not to be trusted.
